Proverbs 15:22 says, Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. J. says that in August 2018, God spoke to his heart to start a ministry to those affected by mental illness. J's mom kept telling him to cover it in prayer. Much like Nehemiah did before building a wall, J. and Becca prayed. J. then took his computer to Panera Bread and went as far as he could dreaming, processing and moving forward. This is where Proverbs 15:22 comes in. J. could only go so far before he needed counsel and advisers. Many people contributed, but soon a core group was developed into a board. Today this board guides the ministry.
These are some amazing people that are passionate about pointing people to hope in Jesus Christ.

J.- (Executive Director)
J. Ware found Jesus at a young age. This changed his life. J. also sees many mental health issues showing signs even at a young age, this also has had a huge impact on his life. He devoted his life to Christ in high school and pursued ministry work in the church, unaware of his mental health signs were showing. As J. bounced around between 3 universities, he outwardly became closer to Christ but inwardly began compartmentalizing his thought and action patterns as well as compartmentalizing unresolved sin.
J. walked a delicate balance in church work while he was undiagnosed with mental illness. In 2007, life fell apart and J. was exposed with sin and for the first time saw the signs of mental illness through a suicidal night that almost cost him his life.
After being diagnosed with Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorder, J. found stability and found himself again in the church where he hid his diagnosis. In 2018, Rock bottom was hit but Christ was there and helped J. & Becca.
11 years after being diagnosed, J. and his wife Becca have endured the great, and very painful struggle mental illness can bring. After a few suicidal scares and deep relational pain, J & Becca have found stability and now seek to use their stories to impact those struggling with mental illness and those supporting them.
J and Becca live in Canonsburg, PA and have 5 children.
Becca grew up in Cedarville, Ohio, down the street from her future husband J. Ware. As a young girl, Becca experienced the awful pain of suddenly losing her dad, but God has used this suffering for His glory.
Becca has been passionate about helping people from a young age. After high school she studied at Capernwray Bible School in British Columbia, Canada. She continued her education earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Cedarville University. Recently, Becca has felt the desire to go back to school to become licensed, so she can expand her influence with C50.
Becca married J. in 2003, and they have five children, ages 13, 9, 7, 5, and 2. She homeschools our kids and has specific time set aside to work with the C50 ministry.

She has worked in pediatrics, in hospitals, doctors offices, home care, and now telephonic case management with all ages.
She has volunteered in the church in children's ministry, youth ministry, chaperoning in-state and international mission trips. She utilizes a holistic approach in her case management noting how physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health all affect healing. She has walked through mental health disorder with her son, witnessing how health care, the church, and family and friends all respond to mental health problems so differently and with little understanding.
